BMS Project Manager · Denmark

Building smarter,
greener spaces.

I'm Rune Frederik Hendriksen — a BMS Project Manager working on sustainable solutions for buildings. From HVAC efficiency to intelligent controls, I help make everyday spaces use less energy without giving up comfort.

About

A hands-on background,
from the wire to the system.

I started with a screwdriver, ended up with a screen. Along the way, I picked up everything from PLC programming to project management — and a deep respect for how the physical and digital worlds meet.

I trained as an electrician, worked internationally as a superintendent engineer on ship engines, and now lead building automation projects at LTECH. My focus is BMS — Building Management Systems — where good design saves energy and keeps buildings comfortable.

Outside of work I stay curious about new tech: robotics, software, home automation. I've always liked understanding how things work — and building them when the tools out there don't fit.

What I do

Sustainable solutions,
engineered to run.

Buildings account for a huge share of energy use. Good BMS design cuts that consumption without compromising comfort — through smarter controls, better data, and systems that respond to how people actually use a space.

HVAC Optimization

Designing heating, ventilation and cooling controls that adapt to the building's real demand — not fixed schedules that waste energy at night or on weekends.

Integrated Controls

Bringing lighting, ventilation, heating and metering together in one BMS. When systems talk to each other, they work smarter — and use less energy doing it.

Energy Monitoring

You can't improve what you don't measure. Continuous monitoring surfaces waste before it becomes cost — and gives building owners the data to prove real savings.

Experience

From apprentice electrician
to project lead.

A career built across the whole stack — the hardware, the code, the systems, the people. Every role added something to how I approach a project today.

Strong grounding in mathematics, physics, and chemistry at A-level, plus specialized "Electronic-physics" coursework covering electrical circuits.

Lifelong

Self-taught in Software

Building tools that fit the job

Building PCs and writing software since childhood. When off-the-shelf tools don't fit a workflow, I build custom ones — like the project planner running at planner.runehendriksen.com.
